Organizing, Pt 2

I have been a little lazy in my organizing goal, but I did get one major thing done... My pantry.

This was an all day project. I took everything out and cleaned out the thing. I found expired food, food to give to the food bank, food that should have gone back to the person I borrowed from. It was a mess. I didn't take a before picture, but here is the after.

It's all ready been a blessing in my life to have this more organized. It's allowed me to see what we have, what we don't and what I can actually make with what we have. It's also been good to get rid of stuff we no longer use or need. It's also helped me be a bit better on our grocery shopping bills.

I just need to find a way to keep a better inventory of everything. A challenge for another day!

Organizing

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm sick of all the clutter and junk in my house. At the first of the year, I told myself I was going to de-junk every room in my house. Well, three months later, I finally started.

I first started in my cleaning closet. This is the tiniest closet I have in my house. I can barely reach in there and grab what I need. It had a bunch of junk in there, like wrapping paper, bows, tape, my Swiffer, my steam mop and a bunch of other things that I don't use anymore. So, I took everything out (not an easy thing to do) and threw out what I don't need and kept what I want and went from there.

Cleaning Closet After

After that, I started in my laundry room. Unfortunately, I didn't get a before picture, but here's the after.

Our goal is the get the kitty litter boxes in the basement, but we've got a lot of cleaning and organizing to do down there. That will have to be an all day Saturday project with Ryan.

What are all of you doing to get organized? I could use some ideas.
